TV Geek Out 138: The Office, "Company Picnic"
Do you wish your office summer parties were more or less like the one depicted in "Company Picnic," the season-five finale of The Office? Michael sees Holly again and the two perform a hilariously inappropriate version of Slumdog Millionaire, the Scranton gang exact revenge on the Dunder Mifflin executives in a fiercely competitive volleyball match, and we learn that Pam has a particular medical condition that should go away in about nine months. Listen in as TV geeks Perry, Dana, and Heather heap praise on the always amazing Amy Ryan, fawn over Dwight’s best friend, and debate the relative merits of The Office’s fifth season. Check it all out here.

TV Geek Out 118: The Office, "Casual Friday" and "Cafe Disco"
All is not copacetic as Ryan, Pam, and Michael return to Dunder Mifflin after the acquisition of The Michael Scott Paper Company. There aren’t enough customers to go around now that Pam has been promoted to salesperson, and if that weren’t enough, nobody seems to understand the necessary boundaries concerning the sartorial appropriateness of Casual Friday. Then, in order to instill some positive morale, Michael creates CafĂ© Disco, and of course, hijinks ensue. Join Heather, Dana, and Perry as they discuss Andy’s mad dancing skills, Kelly’s clothing decisions, and Jam’s plans to elope. Check it all out here.

TV Geek Out 115: The Office, "Heavy Competition" and "Broke"
The outstanding story arc involving the Michael Scott Paper Company came to an end with the episodes “Heavy Competition” and “Broke.” We figured there was no way the upstart business could stand up to heavy-hitter like Dunder Mifflin, but nobody expected Michael to be able to play hardball in the boardroom this effectively. Listen in as the TVGO geeks analyze how the end of Michael Scott’s dream provided The Office with some of the richest creative rewards of season five. Check it all out here.

TV Geek Out 112: The Office, "The Dream Team" and "Michael Scott Paper Company"
These two episodes bookended the debut of Parks and Recreation, and putting "Dream Team" and "Michael Scott Paper Company" around that freshman show seemed particularly cruel because it set the bar way too high for Amy Poehler’s show. Listen in as Perry, Dana, and Heather savor the triumphant return of Ryan, laugh at Jim’s continued inability to impress Charles Minor, and celebrate Jenna Fischer’s continued excellence. TV Geek Out 100: The Office, "New Boss" and "Two Weeks"
For our triumphant 100th podcast here at the TV Geek Out, we present a conversation about the two episodes of The Office that introduced the Charles Minor storyline. Listen in as we discuss how Idris Elba breathed new life into the series, and how Charles showed us all a new side of Jim Halpert. Check it out here!

TV Geek Out 90: The Office, "Golden Ticket"
Inspired by the feel-good magic of Willy Wonka, Michael hides five 10%-off coupons in various boxes of paper, only to have the plan blow up in his face when each of them ends up with their biggest client. And while they might get 50% off their next order, TV Geek Out Geeks Dana, Heather, and Perry commit 110% to discussing the episode’s highpoints, such as Kevin’s dating life and the continued exasperation of David Wallace.

TV Geek Out 87: The Office, "Blood Drive"
You would think that Michael falling madly in love with a woman at a blood drive might be the best thing about this episode of The Office, but the TV Geek Out crew have just as much interest in a rather revealing double date involving Pam, Jim, Phyllis, and Bob Vance (Vance Refrigeration). Perry, Heather and Dana break down their Seinfeldian/Curb Your Enthusiasm-inspired lunch, and analyze what a Dunder-Mifflin lonely-hearts party looks like.

TV Geek Out 81: The Office, "Lecture Circuit (Parts I and II)"
Special things tend to happen when Michael and Pam spend time together outside the confines of Dunder Mifflin’s cozy Scranton branch, and "Lecture Circuit" proved to be no exception. Heather, Perry, and Dana talk about the special two-part episode that featured helpful -- though prejudiced -- memorization techniques, something called “horse hunt.” and a stirring debate on if it’s better to watch TV or nap during work hours.

TV Geek Out 76: The Office, "Prince Family Paper" and "Stress Relief"
The TV Geek Out Geeks work overtime to talk two episodes of The Office. Starting off, a conversation about “Prince Family Paper” prompts an examination of Michael Scott’s moral failings, as well as a heated debate about Hilary Swank’s hotness. Then, geeks Heather, Perry, and Dana continue the water-cooler talk with a breakdown of “Stress Relief” -- the one-hour post-Super Bowl episode that features pyromanic Dwight, emotionally troubled Pam, and digital pirate Andy.

TV Geek Out 68: The Office, "The Duel"
One of The Office's New Year's resolutions for 2009 must have been to finish off the pesky love triangle between Angela, Andy and Dwight. Mission accomplished with "The Duel," a battle between Angela's two lovers that begins ridiculously and ends with both men brokenhearted. Meanwhile, Michael goes to corporate to share his secrets about Scranton's success with David Wallace -- which he does in a totally Michael way, leaving Wallace bored, confused and eating a lot of pasta. The TV Geek Out Geeks were mixed on how much they liked "The Duel," but we all agreed that getting rid of the triangle cleared the way for more comic opportunities for the rest of the season.

TV Geek Out 64: The Office, "Moroccan Christmas"
A Moroccan Christmas isn't your grandmother's Christmas, but this Office holiday episode kept up the show's tradition of serving up the the laughs with an extra helping of awkwardness. What better time of year for Phyllis to reveal that Dwight and Angela have been carrying on behind Andy's oblivious, sitar-playing back? Why not have Toby grovel for a Princess Unicorn doll only to find out he paid double for a toy that was even better than what he wanted? And 'tis the season for Michael to try and force Meredith to hit rock bottom after almost immolating herself due to a little too much holiday cheer. Not all of the TV Geek Out Geeks loved "Moroccan Christmas," but we each had a One of Everything and settled in for a long winter's Office discussion.

TV Geek Out 44: The Office, "The Surplus"
While TV Geek Out Geek Dana was on a special mission, Perry and Heather watched "The Surplus" and geeked out about it immediately afterward -- no notes, no net, no nothing! Fortunately, this episode of The Office offered plenty of geek fodder: Dwight and Angela's surprise Mennonite wedding, the biggest conflict we've seen between Jim and Pam to date, and, of course, Team Copier vs. Team New Chairs. Like Michael in a Burlington Coat Factory, when we watch The Office, we're literally kings (and queens), and we can't help geeking out about it.

TV Geek Out 39: The Office, "Frame Toby"
Despite providing the episode with its title, Dwight and Michael's attempted frame-job of Toby with a (very fresh-looking) caprese salad is one of the least important things that happens during "Frame Toby." Pam's frustration with returning to the office bubbles over into a not-so anonymous note signed "Disappointed," although she didn't seem to feel that way about Jim's surprise present of his parents' house (or did she?) and Ryan has a farewell makeout session with Kelly before he leaves for Thailand. Evil snails, shag carpeting and disturbing clown paintings and the fine line between controlling and romantic are just some of the creepy and hilarious things the TV Geek Out geeks geek out about this time.

TV Geek Out 27: The Office, "Business Trip"
Michael, Oscar and Andy's jaunt to exotic Winnipeg in "Business Trip" resulted in some of the season's biggest developments. Andy was back to first base with Angela, Ryan and Kelly are back together, and Michael is alone again, naturally. Did Pam "come back the right way?" Was Darryl happy about his breakup with Kelly? Are butt-themed jokes a running gag this season? The TV Geek Out Geeks enjoy some "bad decisions in a glass" as they discuss these issues and more.

TV Geek Out 23: The Office, "Customer Survey"
The yearly customer survey is upon Dunder Mifflin again, and Dwight and Jim aren't just robbed of good reviews -- they're mugged! Hypothetical sales, a crucial missed America's Got Talent party and more of Angry Andy made this one of the wackier episodes of the season. Did the "I was raped" joke go too far? Was Dwight's mustardy shirt more of a spicy brown or French's yellow? Was the world's smallest bluetooth a big mistake for Jam? The TV Geek Out geeks ponder it all over piping hot drinks served in their party favor mugs.

TV Geek Out 15: The Office, "Employee Transfer" and 30 Rock, "Do Over"
The TV Geek Out gang celebrates the first back-to-back episodes of The Office and 30 Rock this season with a wide-ranging discussion about the return of Angry Andy, the maturity of Earnest Jim, and the pathetic love life of Poor Poor Pitiful Michael. Then the trio shower love on Will Arnett, and analyze the thin line between “guest stars” and “stunt casting.”

TV Geek Out 8: The Office, "Baby Shower"
Is a butter-covered watermelon the best approximation of a newborn? Just who could Jan's sperm donor be? Are the Office writers manufacturing too many problems between Jim and Pam? The TV Geek Out squad discusses these questions about "Baby Shower," and introduces The Soup du Jour of the Day. Eat up!
