But that’s what happened with "The Gypsy and the Hobo," thanks to an outstanding storyline for Roger Sterling that involved a drunken dinner with an old flame, as well as an exquisitely written phone conversation between him and Joan. And that’s not even taking into consideration Joan’s discovery that she’ll soon be a war bride!
