TV Geek Out 236: Mad Men, "Mystery Date"

In this installment, the TV Geek Out crew discusses "Mystery Date," episode 4 of season 5 of Mad Men.

Murder is on the minds of many of the Mad Men characters this week as Don struggles with his basic instincts in a fever dream featuring Twin Peaks alumni Mädchen Amick, and Sally gets an uber-creepy explanation of the Richard Speck murders thanks to her step-grandmother, who is obviously as drawn to the lurid tale of those homicides as she is repelled by it. Meanwhile, Peggy gives Dawn a hand when racial tensions make it difficult for Don’s newest secretary to get back uptown safely after work, leading to a sleepover where Peggy finds that maybe she’s not the person she thought she was. It’s no mystery that your three dates for this episode will be Perry, Dana, and Heather, so join them as they decide if this installment of Mad Men was a dream or a dud.
